An 84-year-old U.S. Army veteran recalls how his pet cat saved his life after suffering from a bad fall.
The elderly Army vet, Ron Williams, lives in Sturgis, South Dakota, with his adopted cat Fluffy.
Williams slipped from his bathroom floor and lay unconscious for more than 16 hours.
Thankfully, his cat Fluffy used a trick that was taught to him by his human – responding to the phrase “ring-a-ding” whenever his owner’s mobile phone rang.
Fluffy gave the ringing phone to Williams when it sounded off, and the elderly man survived a close encounter with death.
Filled with emotion, Williams is grateful to his adoptive cat for another chance at life in an interview with the local Fox television station.
This heroic and life-saving act proves that a man’s best friend can also be our feline companion!
